Neon editor Krishan Coupland nominates Ivy Alvarez’s short story, “Cipher” for a Pushcart Prize, soon to be published in Issue 49 of the journal.
An audio version of “Cipher” first appeared on ABC Radio National’s Soundproof program.
“Cipher” subsequently appeared in the anthology Philippine Speculative Fiction #11.

Australia Council grant award
Ivy Alvarez is thrilled and thankful to be one of among twenty-five individuals and organisations in receipt of a generous grant from the Australia Council of the Arts, selected from a field of over 1300 applicants.

Creative New Zealand grant awarded
Ivy Alvarez is delighted to announce she is a recipient of a Creative New Zealand grant to assist her with the writing of Volume W, part of her next, multi-volume poetry collection, Diaspora.
Thanks to Creative New Zealand’s financial assistance, she will be writing poems for all of September.
Zoetic Press and the Pushcart Prize nomination
