Atlanta Review and Best NZ Poems

Ivy Alvarez extends best wishes and congratulations to Gregory Kan, Makyla Curtis, Jamie Trower, Chris Tse, and Louise Wallace, whose work features in Best New Zealand Poems 2017, and which she had initially selected for the New Zealand/Aotearoa edition of Atlanta Review.

Only 25 poets appear in Best New Zealand Poems — that five of the poems initially chosen for Atlanta Review are also fêted in this way is worthy of celebration.

Poem on Flash Frontier

Ivy Alvarez’s poem, Ligaw-tingin, features in Flash Frontier.

Stemming from a series of poems that responds to Filipino idiomatic expressions, this is the second poem to appear in the journal.
